Airsoft Sniper Rifles
Airsoft sniper rifles are a very attractive option for new airsoft players. However, airsoft sniper rifles are not recommended. Having played airsoft for over three years I have only known a handful of players who have actually used sniper rifles; even then it was not their primary weapon.
There are many downsides to airsoft sniper rifles. The first is cost. Airsoft sniper rifles can be very expensive. The initial cost for a new sniper rifle may only seem slightly higher than that of an AEG. However, in order for the sniper rifle to be effective in an airsoft game they require a significant number of upgrades. Don't be discouraged; airsoft sniper rifles can be a lot of fun for experienced players with plenty of patience. We just don't recommend that it be your first airsoft gun.
You may have seen the UHC Super 9 airsoft sniper rifle. At under £100 the airsoft super 9 may seem like a deal. For small springer games it may be an effective option. If you plan on using it in a big airsoft game you are not going to have a whole lot of fun. The Super 9 is underpowered, especially up against players with fully automatic AEG airsoft guns . |
